- Do you have a unique or special story regarding flying or aviation that you would like to share?
When I was sixteen, I was flying back from San Diego through New York, and my flight into Boston was cancelled due to thunderstorms. All of the other flights into Boston were cancelled or very delayed. There was one flight to Manchester that wasn’t delayed. It was out of a different terminal, so I raced over and got to the gate right as boarding finished. I explained the situation to the gate agent and she let me on the flight. Everything moved so quickly I never had time to text my parents to tell them I made it onto the Manchester flight. They were sitting at a park-n-ride halfway between Manchester and Boston and when they never heard from me, they assumed I had made it onto the flight. They made it to Manchester within a few minutes of my flight landing. Aviation moves fast, you just have to think on your feet and go with the flow!
